Glee!

I bought the Glee soundtrack at Target the other day (What? It was a good price.) And I LOVE it. It's wonderful. It's so singalongable (real word, I promise) and these kids are really talented. Although I have decided that I prefer Puck's voice to Finn's. And there are two Kristin Chenoweth songs. I give it two thumbs up.

Cars, Costumes, and Creating

That's what my day consisted of yesterday. I went to work for a half day (I was working 4 hours on Saturday, so I got to take it off on Friday), then my dad and I drove to Bellevue to pick up the Volvo, which was having some fits, from the shop. On our way back, Dad veered off the beaten path toward a costume garage sale. $6 later I walked away with my Barbie dress*. Pink, ruched, asymmetrical hem lined, accessorized with a big old flower...score! Then we wandered about Fry's for awhile and compared all the different makes of blender. After that I went solo to Target and got me some 30 Rock Season 3 on dvd (!) , and some ridiculous fake lashes with fake sparkly pink liner. Then I headed home.

Once home I ate some Taco Bell while watching Gilmore Girls, then started on my Barbie jewelry. I now have hot pink earrings, necklace, bracelet and ring to go with my hot pink dress and shoes. All I need now is a shrug or something to put over the dress (preferably purple) and a wig (darn my short hair!) Then, still feeling crafty, I made 10 pendants. Similar to scrabble tile pendants, but closer to the size of dominoes. I used images of reindeer, Santa, some vintage style Christmas cards (shrunk down to iddy-bitty), a pink owl, and a regular old deer. They are turning out super cute, which has me again playing with the idea of opening an Etsy store. But what would I name it? Suggestions welcome.

*Technically it was $6 later for dad. I don't carry that kinda cash around. Too rich for my blood.

Blerg!

I was just informed that 30 Rock isn't for another month. What the what? I'll have to console myself with Parks and Recreation (which is supposed to be much funnier this season) and the Office. Stupid $4000 ham napkin.

Tonight, tonight...

Yay! Although we are not throwing a premier party this year, like we did last year, I am still terribly excited for tonights NBC line up! To celebrate, here are some of my favorite 30 Rock quotes. I haev a feeling we won't be disappointed tonight!

Superman does good, Toofer. You're doing well.
Dr. Spaceman! Dr. Spaceman!
What's the frequency Kenneth?
Blerg!
What the what?
I got your nose.
Go get my nose back.
I want to hold a mirror up to society and then win the world record for largest mirror.
I'm snitting nechth to Herpo!
Hey Liz Lemon, are you coming to the afta afta afta party?
Live every week like it's shark week
Uhoh, somebody looks sleepy...
I am sleepy!
Werewolf Bar Mitsvah, spooky scary...boys becoming men, men becoming wolves
But I already have a drink. Do you think he'd buy me mozzerella sticks?
Right my Baloney?

Is it 411 or 911? I can never remember… New York… Uhhhhh… ‘diabetes repair’, I guess?

Oh, I'd like nothing better. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing where the heart is.

Oy with the Poodles Already!

I'm excited to get home. Here's the plan:
  • Leave work

  • Go to Costco to pick up glasses

  • Pick up glasses

  • Buy bell peppers

  • Run to Barnes and Noble and (hopefully) get the new Cake Wrecks book.

  • Go home

  • Start laundry

  • Pour cereal

  • Watch 4 hours of DVRed Gilmore Girls while eating cereal.*

Yay! An uninterrupted** Gilmore Girl Festival! (I'm right in the midst of the Jess scandal, and rather enjoying it.)

*Not 4 hours of continous cereal eating. That would be disgusting. One bowl. 10 minutes max.
**Yes, it will be interrupted by laundry, but I can fold and watch simeltaneously. I know, I am amazing.

Imagine Christmas Wishes Shooting Out of Your Eyes...

On Julie and Julia, Costco, and Tracy Jordan...

On Sunday, Tim and I saw Julie and Julia. I loved it. It made me want cheese. So, naturally, after the movie we went to Costco in search of Brie...let me tell you what stood between me and Brie. Christmas stood between us. A veritable winter wonderland maze to wonder while you wander through and, yes, even to have Christmas wishes shoot out of your eyes. There were ornaments and lights and Santa's and gift wrap - and my particular downfall - ribbon. So, I squeezed my eyes shut to avoid the folly of buying Christmas ribbon in August and ran for the cheese. Then later, we happened to watch the Christmas 30 Rock episode...it's a Jordan Christmas everyone.

Oh, and seriously - go see Julie and Julia.
