8 Years
Where were you 8 years ago? I was in bed in my Oaktree dorm room, in my sophomore year, when I reluctantly woke up to a lot of noise. First I heard the distorted sounds of the radio from the living room. Then my roommate came in a said that New York had been bombed. It was a very confusing way to wake up. Since we didn't have TV's in our dorms, it took some time for me to fully grasp what was happening. I got to campus and saw people crying, our classes consisted of prayer and then dismissal, and the library was crammed with people trying to get info off the internet. What a horrifying day. I'm so sorry for those that lost loved ones. I'm so grateful for those who fight to keep us safe. What a sad and sobering day.
